About Area II Plumbers Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee

Plumbing Apprenticeship Opportunities

Who We Are:

We are the plumbing apprenticeship program for the Oregon counties of Benton, Gilliam, Hood River, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Polk, Sherman, Wasco, and the south one-half of Yamhill.

Who Can Apply for Apprenticeship:

Anyone can apply for apprenticeship during Open Enrollment – as long as they meet Area II Plumbers JATC’s  minimum qualifications.

The minimum qualifications for Area II Plumbers JATC are:

(1) the applicant must be 18 years of age and

(2) the applicant must have a G.E.D. or a high school diploma.

Veterans of the United States Military are able to apply and enter the apprenticeship at any time as long as they meet the minimum qualifications mentioned above and were honorably discharged within the last 24 months.

We strongly encourage all who are interested in a plumbing career to apply.  Women in plumbing are on the rise, as are minorities.  Are you ready to be a part of a lucrative career in an industry that is looking for tomorrows professionals?

Who Governs Area II Plumbers JATC

We are governed by State of Oregon approved Standards and Policies & Procedures. Though we are an independent non-profit apprenticeship program, we are required by law to strictly adhere to our Policies, Procedures, and Standards – as well as all applicable state and federal laws.

In addition, the apprenticeship is run by the Area II Plumbers JATC committee – a group of dedicated plumbers that graciously donate their time, wisdom and efforts to developing and preparing apprentices for their careers as Journeyman Plumbers.

Who Are Our Partners

Plumbing businesses (Training Agents) in our geographical area participate in our program to invest in the on-the-job training process to develop well-trained plumbing journeymen.
